How To Customize the Boldy WordPress Theme (Video)

In this video I do a walkthrough of the Boldy WordPress theme. It’s what we use for our church website and we’ve been enjoying it. To see the documentation for the theme click here.

*In the video I say that the banner size for the main page should be 970×360. They should actually be 960 x370.

1. Installing a logo: at 35 seconds

2. Editing main banner: at 2:36 minutes

3. Home page boxes: at 4:26 minutes

4. Adding a home button and dealing with menus: at 7:24 minutes

5. Getting rid of the “Site 5″ footer graphic: at 9:16 minutes

6. Changing the “request quote” button: at 10:15 minutes

7. Overview of the backend: at 11:55 minutes

8. Adding a “contact us” page: at 12:53 minutes

Hi thanx for a great tutorial, im having problems setting up the email. Im using boldy theme locally using WAMP. Could this be an issue? Please help me fix this so i know before i go live everything works great.

Hello,

I made a page for the slideshow and added images to it. But the problem is the page title is showing in the menu. I do not want the page title in the menu. I changed the access level of the slide show page to private and the images disappear. I even tired passwords protected.
Please help.

Btw…guys i figured it out. The pages were converted to menus automatically. All i had to do was add them as menu items.

Thx for great theme. There are some small issues I would appreciate to get help with.

1. Is it possible to add additional field on the contactform like Country, Phone number etc?

2. I would like to put flags upper right corner for switching between languages.

I am using your boldy theme. Need help for two questions:

1. How can I add the texts appearing at the bottom of sliding photos (they are on the top of sliding photos). for me it only shows 1, 2, 3. please help

2. I would like to add more Name Boxes for the programs. There only 3 boxes now, I would like to have atleast 5-6 name boxes how can I do?

thanks for your videos. great help!Can you tell me where to alter the slider black caption bar? you have removed yours entirely on the church site. I might want to keep it but mke it shorter. thanks If you have already answered this, its ok to send me to your earlier post. BTW i like the way you made this site sere so clean and not so Boldy restricted. are you using a different Site 5 theme for this modernekklesia site?
