Where Do Good Ideas Come From?
Here’s a beautiful video illustrating where good ideas come from.
Of note is that idea that good ideas result from the confluence of different ideas and connections. He further says that our job as leaders is to create systems by which ideas can converge and collide and to create “space where ideas can mingle.” That’s why I’m a big promoter of tools like Twitter and blogs, because they allow ideas to intersect. I think that’s why every leader should either blog, or participate in a blogging community or two that deal with their particular field. This way ideas can continually be challenged and grow.
We no longer have “tea houses” where leaders just get together, but we do have virtual mediums that we should be taking advantage of.

This is really good. Is it possible to create a monthly time the church can come together and just dream together?!? Once a month during potluck, pull up a chair, and lets just talk about what could be! This would be a brainstorming… what could be… ideas colliding sessions.
Hey Seth! Glad you finally made it over here to Modern Ekklesia and left a comment!!
I think that’s an awesome idea you have. I’d love to see something like that happen.
