LifeChurch.tv Comes To Your Living Room

In this internet age there has always been one long hill that has yet to be conquered: your living room.

Tech companies have been trying to one up each other by making streaming players that will bring their content to your living room. Roku has been a pretty major player allowing streaming of Netflix, Youtube, Pandora, Hulu, and others.

Well, in a first (I think), a church has just made their content available via Roku. This is a pretty big deal. I think it’s the next frontier for your eye-balls, and LifeChurch.tv has seemingly made the first move. They are now reaching over a million people with their content free of charge. To view them on your Roku, just look up their channel.

A big congrats to them. I hope many other ministries will smartly follow.

Do you have a Roku? Do you have any kind of streaming player? Would you watch a church service through this medium?

Yeah, they’re a beast, Trevor. I tip my hat to them. Constantly pushing the limits for the sake of the Gospel.

There are actually four religious-oriented channels on Roku. They are listed here:

In addition to LifeChurch, Northland Church also has a channel on Roku. Christian Video Pix has religious music, and SermonAudio.com has audio and video sermons from a number of churches.

Oops! Thanks for the clarification, Tom! I didn’t know there were others. Northland sounds quite impressive. I was just in Orlando this morning!
