Upgraded Search Results On Modern Ekklesia

Thanks to this post from TentBlogger.com I was able to upgrade the search functionality here on ModernEkklesia.com. Before, I using the built-in WordPress search which is not as accurate. With the old way it would also take a lot longer to find what you’re looking for because it would show the whole post.

Now we’re using Google Custom Search which is pretty nice. It’s fast, and it shows a title and two lines of the intro so you can quickly scan and see what you’re looking for.

I tested it by typing in the word “twitter” and it did a really good job of finding recent posts that use the word twitter.

So give it a whirl. And if you’re looking to upgrade the search functionality on your own site I highly recommend using Google Custom Search. It’s nice.
